General Data Protection Regulation Notice

We’re updating our Privacy Policy to reflect changes we’ve made to strengthen your privacy rights and provide clarity on how we store and use your data. What we collect

We may collect the following information: a) Name, b) Contact information including email address and, in some instances, telephone number, c) Demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests, d) Other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers e) relatives detailed f) We may keep your images g) The personal data collected and held about our Clients may also include sensitive personal data as defined in the Act.

Sensitive personal data includes data relating to medical information, gender, religion, race, sexual orientation and criminal records and proceedings, credit ratings, ID documents including pictures photo ID and photograph (Information that you provide to us and that you agree for us to collect by applying for a Homeshare position with Supportmatch Homeshare) (We may keep a record of that correspondence).

 

We use different methods to collect data from and about you including through you using our website or app, filling in forms or by corresponding with us by post, phone email or otherwise. We may also collect data from you by using our website.

 

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may receive additional information about you, such as demographic data or fraud detection information, from third party service providers and/or partners, and combine it with information we have about you in order to improve the service and marketing that you receive from Supportmatch Homeshare.

 

Who we share your data with and why

Consent may be required for the processing of personal data, unless processing is necessary (such as for the performance of a contract of employment). Any information which falls under the definition of personal data and is not otherwise exempt, will remain confidential and will only be disclosed to third parties with appropriate consent.

 

Supportmatch Homeshare will aim to ensure that data processed by external processors, for example, Cloud services including storage, web sites, service providers, etc. are compliant with this Notice and the relevant legislation.

We may retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations. For example, we may keep some of your information for tax, legal reporting and auditing obligations.

 

How long we store your data for.

We will keep client’s data in case of queries. We will retain this data as long as necessary in order to deal with the query and any follow-up.

 

We retain client’s data including enquiries. We will retain this information for as long as is necessary in order to carry out our services, including for the duration of a homeshare arrangement. We may keep some limited information for a longer time if we believe this is appropriate for historical, research or statistical purposes. Financial data will be retained as long as is required by the law.

 

We may retain some of your personal information as necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as fraud detection and prevention and enhancing safety.

If you no longer want us to keep your information, you can request that we erase your personal information.
